Duties & Responsibilities

Shall supervise loading and off-loading cargo.
Shall ensure transported cargo is accompanied by necessary documents.
Ensure any mechanical issues with the vehicle are corrected before driving.
Plan routes well and meet delivery schedules.
Comply with truck driving rules and regulations.
Report defects, accidents, and violations.
Perform daily maintenance of trucks (refueling, cleaning, etc.).
Minimum Qualifications/Job Specification

At least Form Four education with attendance at formal driving training in a recognized college/institution.
At least 5 years of work experience as a truck driver in a reputable organization.
Experience driving semi-trailers and possession of a driving license class “E” is a must.
