Qualification and experience

Master of Engineering in Renewable/Solar/Electrical Energy Engineering, or a closely related field is required + a minimum of 5 year experience in a similar role.
A valid driver’s license is mandatory to facilitate site visits and regional project oversight.
Active membership in relevant professional bodies (e.g., Zambia Solar Energy Society or Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ) will be considered an asset.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

BSc degree in Hydraulic and/or Water Resources Engineering, or related field.
At least 8–10 years of experience in WASH engineering, designing and managing WASH projects including infrastructure development, including 5+ years in humanitarian or emergency contexts.
Proven experience in designing and implementing WASH programs in displacement, conflict, drought, disease outbreaks, or flooding settings.
Familiarity with USAID/BHA requirements.
Advanced knowledge of solar-powered water systems and sanitation technologies.

Qualifications & Requirements:

1. Craft Certificate or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field from a recognized institution.
2. TEVETA certification (or equivalent recognized license) is mandatory.
3. Minimum of 3 years practical experience in electrical installations and maintenance.
4. Hands-on experience with solar PV systems is an added advantage.
5. Experience with generator installation and servicing is a strong advantage.

INVITATION FOR TENDERS
Heart to Heart Foundation (HtHF) is a South Korea-based NGO established in 1988 to bring a beautiful society by supporting both domestic and international children and their families affected by poverty, disease, and disability. It has operated in Tanzania since 2009 and was officially registered in 2011 (No. 00NGO/00004737). HtHF is currently implementing a three-year (2024–2026) WASH project under the National Sanitation Campaign titled “Community-Based Comprehensive WASH.”
As part of its WASH project, Heart to Heart Foundation (HtHF) has allocated funds for a geophysical survey, drilling of boreholes, and installation of submersible/solar water pumps at five health centres in Mtama District Council—Simana, Hingawali, Mtegu, Mbawala, and Litipu.

Responsibilities :
Supervise all electrical installation works including wiring, power distribution, and solar system setup.
Inspect and test electrical systems to ensure reliability and safety.
Ensure compliance with national regulations and standards (EPRA).
Coordinate with the project and site teams to align with project timelines.
Maintain accurate reports and documentation of installations and repairs.
